Parkes Radio Telescope – A Must See

We can highly recommend a visit to Parkes Radio Telescope, near Parkes NSW, if you are travelling in that area. Admission is free. Open every day except Christmas Day and Boxing Day. Parkes Radio Telescope played a vital role in receiving sound and pictures from the Apollo 11 mission when man walked on the moon in 1969, as told in the movie “The Dish”.
