Good Caravan Parks

We can recommend the following caravan parks for SIDE travelling families:. Feel free to add more.
QLD: Capricorn Coast- Gracemere Caravan Park – just outside of Rockhampton, great shopping, “Beef capital of Australia”, Dreamtime Aboriginal Cultural Centre, Koorana Crocodile Farm nearby attractions. Caravan Park has a salt water pool with waterslide. Good rates. Bush poetry sometimes. Pancake nights at reception (gold coin) with live music on Wed nights during winter.
TAS: Port Arthur Caravan Park – only 1km from Historic Site, private bays, great laundry, playground, abundant wildlife (wallabies, splendid fairy wrens), open fires at each site, wood shed open each arvo.
TAS: Ross Caravan Park – short walk to main street and all attractions (Wool Centre, Female Prison site), churches. Historical town. Caravan park is next to river and historic convict bridge. Playground and local pool across the street.

Hello there, I would love to recommend our favourite caravan park, so far.
We have been travelling for over 6 months and have stayed in a lot of places from roadside stops to resort style parks.
We loved the Pinnacles Caravan Park, Wonga Beach far north Queensland. They had 2 pools, one with a small slide, which provided entertainment for all. We had a powered site next to the pool, and we also had a site in the unpowered area. There was loads of wildlife, lizards, frogs, snakes, birds etc, walks on the beach, coconuts. It wasn’t flash but had a great feel. It was priced well. They stored our caravan for $3/night when we went tenting to Cape York. It wasn’t far from the Daintree.
